About The Artist
Australian Portrait Artist, Dee Jackson has studied Sculpture, Oil Painting and Life Drawing but her great love is Watercolour.
“Watercolour lends itself to the softness and curves of the human form. It allows the artist great freedom.”
“I enjoy portraiture whether painting babies, teens, mums, dads, grans or any family members (including much loved pets) – but the greatest fun is painting children and tiny tots. Sometimes this is from a photograph and sometimes from life sketches in my studio. I always hope to portray the character of the sitter.”
Although Sydney based, Dee has spent several years living in Southern Africa and New Zealand.
